I was so happy to have received the yoga mat towel I ordered from Target. It came on Tuesday and I was very excited to try it out yesterday morning.

I’m now on day two of my second week and still doing my daily yoga and staying on my diet. I think by next week, if things are still going well, I’ll look into starting on Medifast again. While slim-fast was an easy way for me to kick-start since I had the stuff in-house, I much prefer Medifast‘s meals and overall structure not to mention I know it really worked well for me in the past. There’s only so many times I can drink the same shake and Medifast offers loads of options and variety. Their dinners (aka “lean & green”) are a bit more difficult as they are very limiting on what you can eat (like I can’t have any high-carb veggies or fruit on the diet at all) while slim-fast is more calorie counting focused rather than limiting specific types of foods. However, Medifast’s new Optavia options look quite enticing with loads of new variety so I shouldn’t really feel deprived. We’ll have to see how it goes…
As I was saying, I was so excited to get my new towel.
The microfiber has this great soft feel to it and sucks up the sweat really nicely. When it gets damp it “activates” allowing your hands and feet to lock in place. I laid it over my mat and it worked perfectly helping me stay in position without slipping all over the place and constantly having to wipe the sweat off my hands (yuck!). I’m starting to just barely be able to get my fingertips onto the mat (not every time yet) and I’m really feeling good seeing the actual progress and how I’m improving.
My little girl hasn’t woken up in time for the last couple of days, but I kept the mat out for her just in case. This morning she managed to wake up but was super cranky and wasn’t ready till I was pretty much done. I let her do some of her own again.
Also this morning, to my surprise, I have dropped another couple of pounds making my total loss to 6.5 pounds! Almost a quarter of the way to my first milestone! More on that when I post more details on day 10 (obviously still going on). If you haven’t noticed, there’s a live weight tracker at the bottom of every post.
