I know it’s been a while since I posted about my journey. Got myself a bit busy and backed up with the Thanksgiving/Black Friday rush, but I’m glad I made some time today.
For those that have not been following, about a month ago, I started a new weight loss journey and am using this blog to keep my journal as well as keep me on track and honest. You can follow my story and read the previous posts here: My Journey to a Healthier Me
Between the plateau I hit (which lasted over a week) along with the coming holiday, I have to admit I was not at my best. I absolutely overate during the holiday weekend along with treating myself to cookies and other snacks that I really shouldn’t have. My weight fluctuated over the past couple of weeks a bit, but I was shocked when I got on the scale and it had dropped again despite my minor setback this weekend. I am now 17 pounds down and can’t believe I’m still going! Keeping this blog is definitely keeping me accountable and helping with the motivation.
I’m right back on track today and not going to cheat. We’re going away this weekend as well as the following weekend, so I know I’m going to let the dieting slip again, but with that in mind, knowing it’s a planned “cheat”, I’m confident I can continue on track and move forward during the week and keep to it after our trips.
I haven’t been feeling all that well (again!), so the exercise has been sporadic, but here’s the latest. I’m really doing better and my little girl joined me again. It’s hard to tell from this camera angle (maybe I’ll try changing it at some point), but I’m now able to get myself into plank for a few seconds without using my knees. My clothes are getting looser too.
